Our Law firm has successfully handled the applications of four (4) foreign individuals residing in Cyprus, for the cancellation of Red Notices issued against them by Interpol and the deletion of all their personal data kept by the Commission for the Control of Interpol’s Files.
A Red Notice is not an international warrant of arrest, but it can result in the arrest and detention of a person, against whom an international warrant of arrest has been issued, by a Member foreign state, for the purpose of his/her extradition to that foreign country.
By its decisions dated 5th of May 2026, the Commission for the Control of Interpol’s Files, decided to cancel the Red Notices and to delete the personal data concerning our clients from Interpol’s Files, accepting our clients submissions, and evidence presented by our law firm, that there were no elements of any criminal wrongdoings, in the cases initiated against them in the Member foreign country for “fraud committed in especially large scale, by a group of people by prior agreement”.
Red Notices are sophisticated law enforcement tools, which sometimes are abused and misused by autocratic and despotic regimes, especially in politically motivated cases.
Our Legal team has experience in inter alia handling extradition cases, as well as applications for cancellation of Interpol’s Red Notices.
